When I started my photography business back in 2013, my dream began as being a birth photographer. This is the foundation of my business and my passion for photography. With over a decade of experience, doula training, and photography gear built around the needs for low light labor situations, I am fully prepared to make documenting your birth my number one priority. By nature, childbirth is a very private journey and many of the conditions for great photography do not align with what most mamas might need for labor to progress smoothly. When at all possible, I think it's important for expecting parents to meet in person with their birth photographer to get to know each other, discuss any past births, your anticipated birth team, expectations and desires, and ways to make sure mom's needs are always top priority.
Let's schedule an in person consultation to make sure I will be the perfect addition to your birth team! The booking process is simple and you will receive lots of great tips for having a birth photographer present.
Consultation & Booking
Step 2 of 5
Your booking fee is due at the time you secure a spot on my calendar. The remaining investment can be made in convenient payments with the balance being expected before I go on call for you at 37 weeks gestation.
We will remain in close contact leading up to your birth. Your comfort is my number one priority. If at anytime, you decide not to have me present to document your birth or if you are unable to contact me in time, money paid can be used toward future photo sessions. I also specialize in newborn, family, couples, boudoir, and events to name a few. Your photography needs well be well-covered and there will never be any pressure to do something that may negatively impact your birth experience.
Investment
Step 3 of 5
You've just done some of the hardest work of your life. I always feel honored to have been a part of a birth team and am beyond excited to look through your pictures. Regardless of how long I am at a birth, the real work for me doesn't start until I get home. Preparing a birth gallery can take upwards of 10 hours. But, I know how excited you are to see your pictures and hate to keep you waiting! I'll be in close touch to see how you are healing up, plan your newborn photo shoot, and give you an idea of when to expect your birth photos. Typically, I will have a couple initial teasers to use for a birth announcement within 1-2 days as well as a few more teasers on social media (with permission, of course!) within 1-2 weeks. Depending on the time of year, your full gallery is usually ready for you in about 4-6 weeks.
