From Performance to Presence
My journey as an artist didn't start behind a lens. It began with the rhythmic precision of a saxophone. From the intensive halls of the Interlochen Arts Academy to the high-stakes performance environment at Northwestern University, I spent my early years mastering the discipline of "The Masterpiece".
When an injury ended my aspirations for a professional music career, that creative intensity didn't vanish—it simply found a new frequency. Today, I apply that same "Full-Spectrum" focus to documenting the human experience.
A Documentarian Eye
I am a right-brained creature with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwestern. This background in family and marital therapy allows me to see the "In-Between" moments that others miss. I am looking for the quiet rituals, the sacred chaos, and the raw connections that define a family’s legacy.
Documenting Legacies Across Kansas and Beyond
My work is not about "posing" for a camera. It is about the "Sacredness of the Secular." I have spent over a decade refining a documentary style that has reached millions through features in People, ABC News, The Huffington Post, and Cosmopolitan.
The Legacy Mission
Whether I am documenting a high-stakes birth in a hospital room or a quiet Saturday morning in a family’s historic Lawrence home, my goal is the same: to provide a visual biography that honors your real life [cite: 2026-02-13]. I believe in the power of presence over perfection, and I am happiest when I am a witness to the stories that usually go untold.
The Art of the Everyday
Here's a snapshot into my world.
Little Behind The Scenes
My kids are my everything (furbabies included!) and I love taking them out to the various parks around Manhattan. You'll always find me with my camera catching them exploring nature and showing off their true colors.

I'm happiest when I'm on the move! I am also a total sucker for sunsets. If you see an incredible sunset shaping up, you can be pretty sure that I'm finding my way to a location with a view. I love to travel and ultimately want to become a family travel photographer!

Adventure
I have A LOT of energy and consistently outlast my kids. I'll probably outlast your kids, too! I love running my dogs, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and I've competed in three triathlons in recent years. The older I get, the more difficult I find it to sit still, so get ready to have some fun! I love catching you in action!

Music, painting, drawing, pottery...it all plays its part in my photography. I can see the canvas filling with color and motion; it's a dream-like dance in my mind and you are part of that masterpiece. While I pride myself in editing your images in subtle and natural ways, I can't stop myself from completing the picture so that your eyes dance from person to person free of distractions.
