The first thing I noticed upon my arrival to Mexico was the abundance of murals and other street art. Roaming the streets is like walking through a giant art gallery.
There are gorgeous paintings on homes, business…pretty much everywhere you look in Sayulita.
Frida Kahlo’s likeness graces the city inside and out.
Why don’t more businesses do this? So cool!
Even the bathrooms were painted!
I sure do wish there were more buildings like this in the world!
Set aside 1-2 days in Puerto Vallarta just to walk the streets and enjoy the art.
Many of these Puerto Vallarta mural pictures can be clicked for more information or the artist’s social media page.
Many of the murals were too big to fit in one picture, especially if there were cars blocking the view. Move your cars! I want to see the art! (Just kidding!) 🙂
I absolutely loved the buildings that were one huge work of art.
I ran Google image searches for all of these murals. Many of them came up without an artist name. Some of them were identified wrong, so I spent some extra time digging up details. It’s pretty cool that we can look up that information so easily!
There are several websites out there serving as a virtual walking tour of the murals in Puerto Vallarta.
In addition to the inspirational art covering so many of the buildings in Puerto Vallarta, there are also amazing, free art galleries. Most of the galleries do not allow visitors to take photographs, so you’ll just have to see it for yourself!
