One of the first things I do at a family session is let my clients know that I am totally open to their vision for the session. I welcome them to show me any fun family posing ideas they saw from another photo shoot, on Pinterest or duplicate something their own family had done before to show how much their kids had grown.
If someone brings me this great outdoor idea for our studio session or a studio picture when we will actually be outdoors, I let them know this will look very different. Really, anything you bring to me is likely going to look different because the two people who we would like to think are in charge (power to the mommies) really aren’t. Your babies and toddlers are going to dictate just how much we get away with. Plus, there are other factors like available light, backgrounds, space, etc. that need to be considered.
But, by all means, show me what you have in mind and let’s have some fun with it!
Not only did this beautiful mama show up with perfectly coordinated outfits and a bunch of fun posing ideas,
but even her little guy was determined to pull off his own special pose. Love it!
I wanted to make sure that her dozen images was made up of typical poses,
but I’ve included some of her awesome visions and there are plenty more great shots where those came from!
