A little Fall Light.
A little Fall Fun!
Right as the weather reaches perfect, the leaves burst with color, and families are clamoring for a spot on their favorite photographer’s calendar, the beautiful Fall light throws us a curve ball.
Every day, that amazing golden light starts earlier than the day before and once the time change slaps us across the face, I find myself telling people that the best time to start their session is 4pm. And right as I get used to that start time, I realize we need to start at 3:30…then 3. Suddenly, weekdays aren’t even an option for families with school-age children. And mornings are way too chilly.
By mid-November, I can squeeze two sessions in a day starting at 2pm. The sun stays low enough in the sky to pull off an earlier session if you know what you are doing, but there is no time to waste as that sun drops behind the horizon not just earlier each evening, but much quicker than you’d expect.
Those moments of golden light disappear as quickly as they start. Poof!
You’ll want a photographer who doesn’t just know how to work with quickly changing light, but one who knows how to bond quickly with your kiddos, too. There’s no time for snot or sass!
Enjoy this gorgeous family session and the stunning Fall light!
