Oh, I just loved this awesome senior session! This is only the second time I’ve gone to the Konza Prairie with clients. As beautiful as it is out there, it’s not a good location for family pictures. It’s a lot of walking to take advantage of the beautiful backdrops, it can be difficult to get creative with poses when stuck to the trails, there are typically lots of other people coming up the trails and it can take awhile for them to clear completely out of the background of your pictures. Even for this December session, we were dodging other hikers.
That said, this was the perfect situation for a Portraits Plus package, which allows for extra time, multiple locations, and of course more pictures!
We had planned on meeting at Konza back in November, but Mother Nature was not cooperating, so we took care of the studio pictures first.
Check out this handsome devil!
Once we got up on the hills out there, it got pretty darn chilly, but not nearly as bad as the cold and wet weather the week before. With no little kids to worry about and a solid two hours to work, this was a piece of cake! And even though the leaves were long gone, I just loved the scenery.
